The Story thus far...
Late into the night, a scream rips through the air of Lacuna Village. The outcry understandably, awakes several villagers. One especially concerned and curious townsman, an elf, slips into the cottage where the scream originated from. His eyes fall upon a horrifying sight:
One of the well liked villagers, CopperFox, is crying in a crumpled heap on her floor. Above her crouches a fearsome Dark elf, also called 'Drow'. In the Drow's shadowed hand is a cruel looking knife. Tears roll down CopperFox's cheeks and she digs her fingers against her attacker's shoulder.
The Drow rises slowly, before lunging at the curious male elf in the doorway. The Drow pushes past the good cemaritan and into the village streets. An angry, torch and weapon wielding mob greets him. The dark elf runs.
As the horde of farmers and law abiding men chase the dark elf, CopperFox slowly emerges from her hut. We see that she is heavy with child and in great pain.
Meanwhile, the Drow has climbed up a towering cliff in an effort to lose the angry mob. To his misfortune, he finds that a dead end lay in his path. Turning, the Drow also sees that the mob had caught up to him. He balls his fists and sneers, with intent to fight, but a villager flails a torch at the Dark Elf's night-accustomed eyes: little embers burn his face and the glare from the fire blinds him severely. Clutching his face, the Dark elf cries out, reeling backwards. The cliff gives way, and the dark elf falls into blackness.
Copperfox sees all these going-on's from her front porch. She screams out in extreme agony, shedding a tear as she falls unconscious.
Underneath her, in a pool of life-sustaining fluid, lay her newborn daughter.
Fifty years go by and now, the child appears to be five...
