Q:What is Elven Lacryment?
A: Elven Lacryment is a high fantasy webcomic written by Q. The first issue was illustrated by Alex Moore, the second issue is illustrated by Crystal Dunne.
Q: Ok, what is Elven Lacryment about?
A: Elven Lacryment is a story about a group of elves who, for various reasons, band together to try to find answers to various questions they have. Dome about their past, some about who they are. Some just have nothing better to do.
Q: How did you come up with Elven Lacryment?
A: Role play. The (arguably) main character was Q's old D&D character. Others were inspired by other outside stimuli, something like "I want a character named _______!" and lo, a character.
Q: What does "Lacryment" mean?
A: Look it up. Ok, ok. It actually doesn't mean anything. It's basically a fabricated word modified from 'Lachrymate', which means 'too weep'. It's a hybred of 'Lachrymate' and 'lament', both which mean very similar things. The title 'Elven Lacryment' is supposed to give the impression of deep grief, as felt by elves alone.
My, I bullshitted that one good. No one will know it was a type-o.
Q: So, who's the main character?
A: Eventually there will be at least three main characters. But for now, I'll just say ShadowWolf, a female elf.
Q: So, ShadowWolf is a girl?
A: Yes.
Q: Really? She's a girl?
A: Yes.
Q: What is this comic rated?
A: It's rated mature. There is blood and gore and adult subject matter in this comic. This is probably not something you want your kids reading.
Q: What's your update schedule?
A: Since EL's relaunch, we're hoping to update on ever other Friday.
Q: How can I be notifide of updates to EL?
A: The best way to know when EL updates is to add us to your favorite lists in The Webcomic List, ChoiceComics, or Onlinecomics.net.
Q: I don't get it. The art's hard to follow!
A: Lazy bastard.
Seriously though, there's a synopsis of the story in the archive. Any questions should be answered there.
Q: Why does the art style change?
A: Originally, the comic was drawn by Alex Moore. However, due to constraints on her time, she could no longer dedicate herself as fulltime artist of Elven Lacryment. So, Crystal was brought in. Alex will still be seen from time to time in the form of cover artist every once and a while.
Q: Why doesn't the 'world' link work?
A: Q has yet to write out the logistics of the world. But when it's done, it should have info on the Gods, the histories, and the various races of Keayney.
Q: Does El have a blog or Forum?
A: We have a shoutboard. If their is a want for a forum or a Livejournal, just email us for a request. If their's a big enough desire for a centeral board, we'll set up a journal or something.
Q: Can we exchange links?
A: Probably. If you want to link to EL, banners can be found here. If you want EL to link to you, email us.
Q: Can I buy EL merchandise?
A: Not at this time. Though keep an eye out on the index page, the con schedule will be updated with news.
Q: If I see you at a con, can I talk to you? Can I email you?
A: Yes. As of this writing, Q is the only one making public apperances at Cons. But please, please, please don't use fangirl Japanese or leet speak or chat speak. "OMFG, ur comix r soooo kakkoi!" is not a proper sentence.
